This paper reports for the first time a simple yet effective method for fabricating a conductive and highly porous scaffold material made up of polylactic acid (PLA) and conducting polyaniline (PANI). The electrical percolation state was successfully obtained at 3 wt% of PANI inclusions and reached a conductivity level of useable tissue engineering applications at 4 wt%. In addition, preliminary bioactivity test results indicated that the protonating agent could form a chelate at the scaffold surface leading to good in-vitro apatite forming ability during biomimetic immersion. This new conductive scaffold has potential as a suitable biomedical material that requires electrical conductivity.  相似文献

Hydrazonoyl halides have been known for their ability to react with different reagents to afford wide range of bioactive heterocyclic systems as thiazoles and imidazopyrazoles. This research work focused on the synthesis of two new fluorinated hydrazonoyl chlorides and used them in synthesis of novel series of thiazole derivatives and two imidazopyrazole systems. The mechanistic pathways and the structures of all synthesized derivatives were discussed and assured based on the available spectral data. The results of antimicrobial activity of the tested thiazoles and imidazopyrazoles showed that some derivatives have moderate to no activity against tested fungi and bacteria strains. Only one derivative namely 2-(2-(3-fluoro-4-methylphenyl)hydrazono)-7-(2-oxoindolin-3-ylidene)-2,7-dihydro-3H-imidazo[1,2-b]pyrazole-3,6(5H)-dione is the most active against Candida albicans (CA) with IZD = 20 mm, which was equipotent to ketoconazole. Furthermore, docking simulation was carried out to predict the binding pattern of the new compounds in the ATP binding site of the DNA gyrase B enzyme. The results of the docking simulation revealed that compounds 9a-e , 12 , and 13a,b fit well in the ATP binding site of DNA gyrase B with docking score values ranging from −5.883 to −6.833 kcal/mol.  相似文献

Within the framework of the local density approximation (LDA) of the density functional theory (DFT) and the pseudopotential method, we have carried out ab initio calculations to investigate the structural and electronic properties of graphene upon the adsorption of benzene and naphthalene molecules. Our total-energy calculations suggest that, for both benzene and naphthalene adsorbed on graphene, the stack configuration is the most stable structure. The corresponding adsorption energies at different sites are estimated for both molecular adsorbates. The equilibrium parameters and the electronic band structure for the stable geometries have been calculated and compared with the available findings.  相似文献

We report in the present study the in situ formation of magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4 or Fe) within porous N-doped carbon (Fe3O4/N@C) via simple impregnation, polymerization, and calcination sequentially. The synthesized nanocomposite structural properties were investigated using different techniques showing its good construction. The formed nanocomposite showed a saturation magnetization (Ms) of 23.0 emu g−1 due to the implanted magnetic nanoparticles and high surface area from the porous N-doped carbon. The nanocomposite was formed as graphite-type layers. The well-synthesized nanocomposite showed a high adsorption affinity toward Pb2+ toxic ions. The nanosorbent showed a maximum adsorption capacity of 250.0 mg/g toward the Pb2+ metallic ions at pH of 5.5, initial Pb2+ concentration of 180.0 mg/L, and room temperature. Due to its superparamagnetic characteristics, an external magnet was used for the fast separation of the nanocomposite. This enabled the study of the nanocomposite reusability toward Pb2+ ions, showing good chemical stability even after six cycles. Subsequently, Fe3O4/N@C nanocomposite was shown to have excellent efficiency for the removal of toxic Pb2+ ions from water.  相似文献

The study evaluated methylmercury concentrations, the methylmercury to total mercury ratio (%MeHg) and their correlations in ten fish species from different trophic levels. Methylmercury levels in fish studied were in the range of 0.007 to 0.914 µg g?1 wet wt. Muscle tissue of predatory fish contained significantly (p < 0.05) higher content of methylmercury than non-predatory fish. The methylmercury to total mercury ratio ranged from 49.1% to 87.5%, with the highest ratio in predatory fish. This ratio was always higher in muscle tissue compared to the liver tissues, indicating tissue-specific binding and accumulation of methylmercury in the muscle. All the fish species showed strong positive correlation between methylmercury and total mercury levels (R 2> 0.86). Except for long tail tuna and short-bodied mackerel, all fish species showed lower methylmercury levels and estimated weekly intake as compared to the maximum values established by US FDA (of 0.5 µg g?1) and by FAO/WHO (1.5 µg kg?1 bodyweight), respectively. This study showed that the percentage of methylmercury is rather high in fish and fish represents the major source of this toxic mercury form to the local population.  相似文献

A simple extraction and cleanup procedure has been developed for the analysis of 24 organophosphorus (OP), organochlorine (OC) and pyrethroid (PY) pesticides in mineral and peat soils using modified QuEChERS method. The pesticides were extracted from the soil with acidified acetonitrile. The water was removed from the extract by salting out with sodium chloride and addition of magnesium sulfate. For OP pesticides, the extracts were cleaned up with 0.2 g of primary secondary amine packed in glass Pasteur pipette and determined by gas chromatography with flame photometric detector. For OC and PY pesticides, the extracts were cleaned up with 0.2 g of silica gel packed in a glass Pasteur pipette and determined by gas chromatography with electron capture detector. After the cleanup, the extracts had lower colour intensity and reduced matrix interferences. The recovery of the OP and OC pesticides for mineral and peat soils determined at 0.01–1.0 mg kg?1 fortification levels ranged from 79.0–120.0% and 82.2–117.6%, respectively. The detection limits for OP and OC pesticides were 0.001–0.01 and 0.002–0.005 mg kg?1, respectively. The recovery of the PY pesticides ranged from 87.5–111.7% at the detection limits of 0.002–0.010 mg kg?1. The relative standard deviations for all pesticides studied were below 10.8%. The modified method was simple, fast, and had utilized less reagents than the conventional methods. The method was applied to the determination of the pesticide residues in mineral and peat soil samples collected from the vegetable farms.  相似文献

An electrochemical DNA biosensor was developed that is based on a gold electrode modified with a nanocomposite membrane made from an ionic liquid, ZnO nanoparticles and chitosan. A single-stranded DNA probe was immobilized on this electrode. Acridine orange was used as the hybridization probe for monitoring the hybridization of the target DNA. The biosensor was capable of detecting target DNA in the concentration range from 1.0?×?10?C14 to 1.8?×?10?C4?mol?L-1, with a detection limit of 1.0?×?10?C15?mol?L-1. The approach towards constructing a DNA biosensor allows studies on the hybridization even with crude DNA fragments and also to analyze sample obtained from real samples. The results show that the DNA biosensor has the potential for sensitive detection of a specific sequence of the Trichoderma harzianum gene and provides a quick, sensitive and convenient method for the study of microorganisms.

In toxicological analysis, the analytical validation method is important to assess the exact risk of contaminants of emerging concern in the environment. Syringe filters are mainly used to remove impurities from sample solutions. However, the loss of analyte to the syringe filter could be considerable, causing an underestimate of the analyte concentrations. The current study develops and validates simultaneous liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis using a direct filtration method to detect four groups of contaminants of emerging concern. The adsorption of the analyte onto three different matrices and six types of syringe filters is reported. The lowest adsorption of analytes was observed in methanol (16.72%), followed by deionized water (48.19%) and filtered surface lake water (48.94%). Irrespective of the type of the matrices, the lowest average adsorption by the syringe filter was observed in the 0.45 μm polypropylene membrane (15.15%), followed by the 0.20 μm polypropylene membrane (16.10%), the 0.20 μm regenerated cellulose (16.15%), the 0.20 μm polytetrafluoroethylene membrane (47.38%), the 0.45 μm nylon membrane (64.87%) and the 0.20 μm nylon membrane (71.30%). In conclusion, the recommended syringe filter membranes for contaminants of emerging concern analysis are polypropylene membranes and regenerated cellulose, regardless of the matrix used.  相似文献
